Christmas ornament from a recycled Christmas card

I learnt this wonderful craft from a Martha Stewart episode.  It is another great way of recycling a pretty Christmas card.

Things you need- a Christmas card,  2 brass fasteners and a short piece of thread or ribbon

1. Cut the card horizontally into 1/2 inch strips. You need to have about 15 strips. More, if you want to have a fuller ornament.

2. Lay the strips on top of each other.   At each end, punch a hole, with a small hole punch.

3. Push a fastener in at each end.

4. Next,  spread each strip, to make it form a ball.

5. Tie the thread or ribbon, at the top of the ornament.

6. To store the ornament, push the layers together so that they take up less space.
